I love working in real estate. It’s an amazing feeling to help people navigate through some of the most important financial transactions of their lives, guiding them to a unique solution that meets both their immediate needs and future goals.
I have dedicated almost two decades to helping my real estate clients, but my career didn’t actually begin there. After graduating from George Mason University with a degree in business management, I found my way into information technology. I wasn’t unhappy, but as financially lucrative as the field was, I didn’t find it fulfilling. I wanted something more.
Fortunately, I found it here in Northern Virginia. Whether I’m helping our neighbors find just the right home for them or professionally marketing and selling their property, I’m doing what I was meant to do. Serving everyone from first-time home buyers to empty nesters, my experience is broad-based, which means that no matter what unusual situations come up, my clients won’t be blindsided. That gives them – and me – a real sense of confidence.
Negotiation skills are one of my greatest strengths; I have the patience to let the situation evolve, the market knowledge and authority to support our position, and the persistence to face any opposition.
Some of my happiest moments come from working with people who’ve been in their homes long enough to have accumulated a lifetime of favorite possessions. I love sharing memories with them – like the opening of Tysons Galleria in 1988 or Clemyjontri Park in 2006 – and selling their homes for top dollar, then helping them downsize into something that better suits their new lifestyles.
As for my personal life, I married the love of my life, Rick, we had our wedding reception at Evans Farm, and we live in McLean. We have two incredible children, Anna Marie and Sean, and I’m passionate about raising them to be kind, thoughtful, responsible, and successful (happy and thriving) individuals.
Then there’s Ricky, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. He actually belongs to Anna Marie, but he’s living with us while she’s in college. Rick and I have a standing appointment to walk him every day at 2 p.m., but Ricky can be flexible. :)
One of my passions is meeting new people so, if you have any real estate questions at all, don’t be shy – 703.893.6650.
