Lorrie Penn Hunter is an Associate Broker, Realtor®, and owner of The Dukes Group, LLC. She has provided real estate services in Virginia, D.C. and Maryland for more than 19 years. Lorrie has completed more than 350 transactions valued at a total of more than $125M. Lorrie’s past professional accolades and distinctions include Washingtonian Magazine’s 2018 Top Agent Award, RE/MAX Hall of Fame, RE/MAX Platinum, and President’s Club awards.
Lorrie is client-solution focused. Her primary objective is to ensure that her clients are prepared and well-informed and that each of their transactions are successfully completed. A problem solver, Lorrie welcomes “challenging transactions” that give her an opportunity to find solutions for her clients and resolve issues efficiently and expeditiously. Lorrie’s more than 70% clientele of repeat customers and referrals will vouch for the confidence and trust that they have with Lorrie lead by those that have had her support with distressed property or estate sales, and most notably her out-of-state sellers who have had her handle the sale of their local property.
Lorrie specializes in residential real estate sales including high-end homes, new construction, investment rehab and distressed properties. She has presented numerous home buyer and real estate investing seminars. She was previously a state-licensed instructor for the Virginia Real Estate Pre-Licensing course and a certified VHDA Home buyer trainer.
Lorrie stays active in the local community serving as an Elections Chief with the Loudoun County Elections Board, an appointed representative of the Loudoun County Family Services Advisory Board, and a charter member of the Loudoun County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, a public service sorority. She serves on the National Membership Services Committee of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is the immediate past president of the National Panhellenic Council of Loudoun County organization. Other local community organizations she enjoys supporting include Mobile Hope and the Loudoun Homeless Shelter.
Prior to entering the real estate industry in 2002, Lorrie worked in the telecommunications and e-commerce fields as a Director of Global Product Management, International Product Manager, an Asia-Pacific Regional Account Manager, and a telecommunications client instructor.? She earned a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from James Madison University in 1987.
