Resilient in Real Estate: Ask, Adapt, Anticipate, Accept, Act
My real estate story began in Minnesota managing the construction of my first house in my early 20’s. Later in 1998, what I thought could be a “trial stay” moving to Virginia turned into a more than two decade stay. During my adult life, the story includes twelve moves (college excluded) encompassing leasing (both as a lessee and lessor), flipping, and owning properties spanning condos, duplexes, townhouses, and single family houses. These experiences provided learning opportunities for the leasing, buying, and selling processes and an appreciation for the bricks and sticks side of real estate which are surely valuable qualities. However, based on my experience the opportunities have also provided some lessons in understanding people which I tend to believe is what real estate is largely about. I empathize and respect the emotional highs and lows and twists and turns that change can bring when we move to lease, buy, or sell our private, unique spaces called “home”. I am committed to making the process as smooth and seamless as possible for clients and offer my resilience to change rooted in my story many years ago. I’m currently licensed in Virginia and would be honored to be a part of your story.
